The 8th Grade visited the Candles Holocaust Museum in Terre Haute today(2/9). They learned about Eva Kor and her journey to Terre Haute from Romania and Isreal and the issues that the Jews went through during the Holocaust.

This week in sports/activities at CHS/CSJH.

The HS girls basketball game for Monday versus Arthur Christian will be at Arthur Christian School 1637 Il 133 Arthur.

We are currently seeking substitute school bus drivers for our district. If you or someone you know holds a valid school bus driving license, we encourage you to reach out to our Transportation Director at 217-269-2823 for more information.

Congratulations to the 8th grade volleyball team for taking first place out of ten teams in the tournament on Saturday.

This week at CHS/CSJH. It is Homecoming Week for the high school. The annual basketball game will be on Friday with the boys taking on Westville at 5:30pm. Monday the HS girls will honor their seniors before the game at approximately 5:15pm as it is varsity only.

The HS girls varsity basketball team will play at Georgetown on Friday (1/30) at 5:30. The varsity boys will follow afterward. It is cancer awareness night.

Due to current road conditions on several of our country roads, we will be implementing our Winter Snow Route bus stops for the remainder of the week.

Chrisman Schools will not be in session for students tomorrow, Wed. January 28,2026. Staff will report to school at 10:30 for Teacher Inservice. Staff, please check your emails for more details.

The HSBB game and the JHVB games at home will still be played this evening. The HSBB begins at 5:30pm, and JHVB have a prelim game at 5pm with 7th grade starting about at 5:45.

Elementary will do day four of their e-learning packets. Junior high and high school students will find assignments on Google classroom and email. Please make sure to login to teacher ease for attendance purposes by 1 o'clock.

Due to severe weather and road conditions, Chrisman schools will be on eLearning tomorrow, Monday, January 26, 2026. Elementary students will do Day 3 of their eLearning packets.
